but you can also get lots of help in the game itself.  Here are some
hints to help you out:

* Meet a Mentor!
 Every night, game hosts schedule nightly tours for new players. Type
TOUR for a schedule of tours and simple directions on how to join
them.

* Seek Advice!
 If you ever need assistance, type ADVICE or HELP. For directions,
type DIR. Better yet, ask other players for help. GemStone IV is one
of the friendliest communities online!

* Start Talking!
 To talk to other players, use quotation marks ( " or ' ). For
example, to say "I am new to these parts. Can you show me around?"
type the following:

"I am new to these parts. Can you show me around?

There are always hundreds of players to interact with in GemStone IV.
